That is superb - one of my favourite locations as my wife and I lived in Tynemouth for nearly ten years from the mid eighties to the mid nighties. Know that view very well!!

Super composition Carole, that lovely sweep of the bay. Some wonderful foreground detail, are those wild Lupins? A beautiful place.

Took some photos of this area on a lovely summer’s day and was inspired to paint the bay. A bit tricky as the sea was an unusual bright blue, out of character with the North Sea. Have tried to tone the colours down as they were exceptionally bright. Don’t know if this is a bit in your face but it is a very scenic area, although challenging to paint. Rather large at 40” x 22”. Oil on canvas.
