That’s a real eye catcher. It’s incredible that Natural colours can be so vivid and spectacular. Those silhouettes are really effective

14” x 16” Water mixable oils. Some years ago, on an overnight journey from Aswan to Cairo I took photos of an early dawn, which was amazingly rich in colour. I have always intended to use some of these photos but they weren’t very good, having been taken on a moving train. I only used the photos to portray the rich colours but I remember a beautiful mist, from which everything seemed to mysteriously emerge. I wasn’t able to capture the magic of that dawn but a kind of version of that memory.
