Only just seen this having not been on Painters for months. Stunning rendition of these wonderful plants, dea Carole; in an almost black- and-white painting the flowers really stand out against the dark background. Beautiful my lovely friend. Love and God bless xxx

I was travelling near Alicante and saw a field of artichokes. They looked so pretty especially, a few of them that were beginning to flower. Took photos and painted this when I arrived back to the U.K. Soft pastels and pastel pencils 10” x 12” on Pastelmat.
