A lovely serene watercolour, Chris. We spend part of the year in Berkhamsted so next time we must go and visit this. It would be quite impressive with a nice sunset - look forward to seeing your next painting of it, in due course.

I have just posted a couple of postmills myself so they are obviously in vogue and this is a great rendition - lovely choice of palette and the design is spot on.

This lovely old Post Mill is apparently the oldest surving one in the country. It can be painted from many angles and is easily accessable as there is a carpark and path leading straight to the Mill all but 150 yards away. I would like to return to this spot when there may be an opportunity of a nice sunset as the land is resonably flat and may facilitate a good composition. Saunders Waterford High White 300lb rough paper.
