Moonlight Barn Little Barrington Oxon 9.75 x 13.75"
Painted from a sketch done some months ago. This is a typical eighteenth century Cotswold stone barn which stands rather prominently on the south east side of the village. There are a number of roads and paths that "wiggle" around this place as there is a rather lovely village green in front of the barn complete with stream running through it. Many good viewpoints can be found in Little Barrington using these paths as a lead in, additionally the architecture all around the village is highly appealing and should supply many opportunities for anyone who enjoys painting these types of subjects. I have "toyed" with the lighting a little bit and "shunted" the path a smidge to help try and balance the picture (I hope!) however in the large part it is fairly faithful to the location.
