Hi there Fiona thank you for your comments on my painting. In answer to your question,it kind of comes in two parts. I don't really have a hard and fast way of creating greys but I do remember that on this occasion it was predominantly Utramarine blue and basically the still damp muck left on the palette from a painting finished earlier that day! If my memory serves me correctly I added some red to it, that would have to be either Light red or Indian red. sorry I can't be any more specific. I hope this helps.
