I like the perspective and the sky.

Many thanks for your feedback, I am glad you like it. Chris CABBYCABBAGE

You clearly paint very well, Chris. I like your work, but something in the relationship between hay bale and telegraph pole strikes me as odd. Not sure how you would fix it.

Many thanks Harry for your feedback. I appreciate your comments, perhaps the pole could be a touch taller and sit a little futher back in the perspective. I did a preliminary sketch before starting this painting which I followed fairly closely when completing it, looking back at this the sketch does show the pole in a slightly different postition reducing the giant hay bail effect. Best regards Chris

Another beautiful watercolour in your gallery, Chris! May I ask, why did you not put them all together in one portfolio, so we could browse from one painting to another? PS. You can't move them now because you would delete all the comments!

tres belle vue d'ensemble. Aquarelle qui donne envie d'aller faire un tour à la campagne

Another watercolour painted on the spot on a particularly pleasent day. This farm is about a mile outside of Bourton on the Water and also boasts a wonderful ruined Costwold Stone Threshing Barn at the edge of this field! It was difficult to find a level spot to lay my palette down on the ground as the whole field was covered in stubble causing me to splatter the picture with paint on a couple of ocassions but this was luckily rectifiable thankfully.
