We had taken a mid-morning boat trip around Lake Pichola, one of Udaipur's scenic artificial lakes. With the sun overhead and creating high contrast and strong shadow shapes, I made this sketch leaning against one of the posts on the jetty (I do a lot of leaning), while everyone else went back to our hotel for coffee. Chand Pole Puliya Bridge and City Palace are in the distance. I can hear the lake waters lapping under my feet.
