One of many bars we graced in between imbibing culture when my wife and I, my sons and their partners spent a break in Riga. The charm of the interior and the lure of an interesting perspective looking across the table were the attractions. The sketch book is my 7" square, from Tiger Aspect (www.tiger-stores.com). The book is superb; a high white stiffish paper with just enough tooth for pencil, which takes watercolour too without cockling (Porthleven, elsewhere is the same sketch book) Tiger Stores are everywhere, worldwide, except it seems my native Sheffield; I bought this one at a branch in Riga! So the drawing is 14" x 7", set out with a waterproof 0.1 black fine liner, with blocks of descriptive tone added using a Pilot Croquis 6B clutch pencil; they're thick & stumpy for fast coverage and capable of virtual black, so very versatile.
