Working en plein air is often a great ice breaker. I was tackling this little line and wash of a completely non-descript scene (but with decent light and shade) while sitting on a wall outside the post office in Sant'Agnello, near Sorrento, when an Italian traffic cop pulled up on his scooter and struck up a conversation "Inglese?" (there must be something about me). He turned out to be a Lazio footy supporter "The fans, we are strrong, like bool; the playerrs, not so mooch". W & N pocket sketchers box/ No 12 round from Major brushes/ .05 UniPin fine liner on a 10" x 7" St Cuthberts Mill bonded block.
