Lovely work, Brian.

Love the murky water, it looks so realistic and allows the bridge to really stand out .

Really like this painting.

This is lovely Brian, so much detail. I've been to Whitby twice on holiday it's a great place to visit.

This is a fascinating piece of equipment which, together with its previous incarnations, has a lot of history to it. It's highly unusual for me to mask but I used Pebeo frisket to preserve the open mesh balustrade on the bridge and the white handrails under it. Main attraction here was the rich earth-coloured reflections on the water, against the muted reds and blues of the bridge, the murky transitions between the two and that fabulous swell you get s on water, which has enough movement to create wonderful reflective patterns but is not so great as to break up and isolate the marks which are laid to describe them. The water of the estuary is a subtly graded, under-painted wash
