Hello Brian This looks a lot of fun! Did you ever sell it as a jigsaw puzzle? Geoff

Hi Geoff. Yes it did go on sale, not through me but through a jigsaw puzzle company called Begg Todifer, Glasgow. I was given several of them which I passed on to relatives and friends, before finally having my own remaining copy stolen from an exhibition of my work. I picked one up on line a few years ago. Strange that after 20+ years I still recognised every one of the one thousand pieces the moment I took it out of the box.

Hi Brian Very sorry you lost your last remaining copy. I had a look online and can't see it anywhere. If I see it in a Jigsaw Festival or shop, I'll get it for you! I must admit I haven't heard of Begg Todifer. I used to work for Gibsons before starting my own business (everythingjigsaw.com). I would have loved to see it during that time, as I was involved in product development of the jigsaw puzzles. I think you should definitely work on a sequel! Geoff

Ha. Thanks Geoff. As with so many things, a special set of circumstances existed which enabled this first design, which won't come along again. I prepared three other composites around the same time for the same client, but Fine Art designs rather than cartoons; (James)"Bond", "Friends" and "Laurel and Hardy" but my client was advised against publishing on copyright grounds. Good luck.

A not altogether PC design for a jigsaw. See "My Blogs" for more background to this (but an image which can't be enlarged)
