We have all been there. Middle of winter, run out of milk, freezing cold, trudge to the local shop in the snow, wishing we were on holiday in the sun. I love it.

Watercolour sketch in A5 sketchbook. This woman was walking, alone, down the hill, as she had probably done most days of her life. Bradford was still an active industrial city, the streets were not yet clogged with cars and London was swinging. I wonder where her journey took her.
