This week's Friday Group plein air location was Bromfield near Ludlow, which has lots of potential subjects - a ruined watermill and a priory church etc. However, it was bliss to have a cloudscape after weeks of flat light, so I chose to paint these grey metal grain silos against a stormy grey sky. As well as brushes, I used several palette knives and my fingers.
