Very spooky 👻 tree

Great colours and textures, but if the trunk merged more into the grass growing around the roots then the tree would look as though it was growing out of the ground instead of floating on top of it! Not really a criticism, but it would take very little finish off an otherwise excellent study!

I like it Bobbie.

Thank you Martin, Jo, Denise and David for your kind comments.

The more one looks the more you see in this piece Bobbie. It’s not about trying to make something look realistic it's about expressive feeling for the natural habitat.

Thank you John for the vote of confidence. There was no intention to be 100% realistic - if there had been I would have chosen a different medium. This semi-abstract piece is about my response to this particular tree - the biggest of the 7 ancient "ghosts" at Croft Castle.

Today it is a wonderful habitat for wildlife. I coloured this print with oil pastel.
