Birch Copse, Marwood Hill Garden by Bobbie Matulja

I can do abstract work in mixed media, but I need a reference point to begin a painting - so I used one of my holiday snaps of birch trees at Marwood Hill Garden near Ilfracombe and painted this little 8 x 10 inch oil fast and loose in about an hour and a quarter with brushes, knives and a bit of scumbling thrown in. I was using up leftover oil paint, and I really enjoyed the process.
