Obviously can't comment on the likeness, but its a good facial study .

Thank you Stephen, Lou and Andrew for your kind words. Carole is one of our regular portrait and life models. I've drawn her several times in both contexts, and it is a good likeness. I guess yesterday was one of those days we all have when we have a million other thoughts getting in the way of concentrating properly.

Love the skin tones and the features are so striking. A great job, in spite of the wrong gasses, Bobbie.

For once I wasn't late, and managed to secure an almost "face on" view of Carole, our lovely portrait model. Pastel pencil drawing on A4 grey beige flecked Canson MiTientes with white soft pastel highlights. Art is all about looking, and I took the wrong glasses with me yesterday so I don't think this is my best piece of work!
