Lovely Mick, you are 'branching' out in all sorts of areas these days and it is lovely to see

I like collecting information like this . It gets tucked away ,then rediscovered.. So now we want to see the painting they inspire. So very un you. I especially like the teasel.

Thanks for the visits and comments , ladies. Sylvia, I have already started a pastel of some of the elements from these doodles, and memory of the scene; however, I have lost my way with it and scrubbed it out several times. I know that bad workmen always blame their tools, but all the pastel card I have, I'm not happy with the colours, I'm working on a sienna bit at the mo. Whether anything will come from this project or not, I know not. best Mick

We had to go to Wisbech today, so we went the scenic route via Coldham and Friday Bridge. We passed a field on the outskirts of Coldham, that, before I was ill, was full of second crop, autumn, poppies. I took it into me ed that I may like to make a painting of it, so I scribbled a few ideas down here, from some of my old photos of fields and cottages, teasels, burrs, and cow parsley, with dip pen and Indian ink in an A4 cartridge sketching pad.
