I like the way your roads and paths dip in and twist around the landscape, thus betraying the lie of the land.... also like the strong tones in this, and the touches of detail in the branches.

For me its the choice of palette that stands out

Jumped out at me, this one is a bit special.

Thanks for the visits and comments folks. It is funny, but this pallette doesn't work all that well on other colour papers, only the Clairfontaine light grey. best Mick

Painting from some old photos we took in the West country on a late holiday many moons ago. Rowney soft pastels, Rowney hard pastels, Derwent tinted and standard charcoal, Faber-castell Pitt pastel pencils, Faber-Castell pitt drawing pens fine, Indian ink, sepia, on Clairefontaine pastel mat, light grey, original image size9"x9" nominal. Oh forgot, WH Smiths sketching pencil, light sepia, WH Smiths sketching pencils, oil based carbon, oil based sanguine.
