I agree with you about coloured papers and boards for pastel drawings Mick, the background colour carries a lot of weight and influence on the finished work, love your pallete in this landscape, lovely little cottages that always have bright roof's, and great sky

The colours and textures work really well in this. I agree with you re- dark coloured boards but the grey one that you have used here works very well.

Mucking around painting from a few photos the missus took from the moving car through Kent. Unison soft pastels, Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils on Sennellier pastel card, mouse grey, I'm getting a little fed up with the darker pastel boards and papers, I think I prefer the buff colours and lighter, image size 12x9"
