They are all amazing. The tree foliage is so cleverly done and blends beautifully with the blue of the water.

Thank you very much, Carole, for taking the time to look and comment. I am de-ligh-ted that you like this series. I took some more good photos this morning/early afternoon, with the sun peeping through storm clouds. Might make a change to the blue and bright. Bri

This is another beauty Bri, your trees and reflections are so well done. You're looking very cool in your new photo with your shades!!

Trees are very well painted and the reflections are beautiful, Brian.

Thank you very much, Margaret and Margaret, for the encouraging comments. Much appreciated. I've made a few revisions since posting, just minor ones, but it's still a bit wet to photograph. Bri

Nearly missed your, Ronald, as we cross-posted, I think. Thank you very much for the analytical comments. Much appreciated. Bri

I’m disappointed Brian......The Bog Pond? The title does not reflect the beautiful vision underneath it....lol. Love that dark water area on the right and the reflections, in the ever so lazy movement of the water.

Thanks a lot, Fiona, for the great reply to this painting. Always appreciated. When I first saw "The Bog Pond" on a sign I groaned for the wasted opportunity. They are, in fact, all old mill ponds/lodges which have been turned into lovely angling ponds. There's the Big Lodge, Perch Pond and Bog Pond. The other three have yet to be opened as fisheries. I can't find the name for my favourite, but as I haven't painted it yet there's till time. I'm pleased you liked this one, even though there's still some glare due to wet paint. I must try to get there in winter when the snow's deep. Bri

Forgot to add....great photo by the way!

Ah, yes, a new photo. Thanks for mentioning it. When I take my glasses off I look like the portrait of Dorian Grey. LOL

Another wonderful painting Brian

Thanks again, Russell, for the continued support with this series. Much appreciated. I've made a couple of minor changes and posted the new photo here. I'm still struggling to get a clear picture, though. Bri

Oil on canvas 30 x 20 cms. This is the third painting, and the smallest so far, in a series of six local angling ponds. The final three will all be larger paintings.
