Far from the Madding Crowd will always be my best memory of Julie Christie, Brian. Great job, you caught her very well.

There's no arguing with that choice, Jim. She was captivating. Thanks for the thumbs up. Appreciated. Brian

Brilliant 👍🏻 Love the eyes.

Great likeness, beautifully done Brian.

Lovely portrait.

Thank you very much indeed, Rachel, Carole and David, for the warm comments. I'm pleased I've caught a likeness. Much appreciated. She did have piercing eyes, didn't she, Rachel. Brian

Beautiful drawing of a beautiful woman Brian

Thanks for the generous comments, Russell. Very much appreciated. She was indeed beautiful, and a moving actress. Brian

That's a marvellous likeness Brian, recognised her straight away, she was so beautiful! I like the texture you have captured on her hat.

Thanks, Margaret, for the great comments. Appreciated, as always. I used a barely damp, flattened small bristle brush to remove some charcoal by systematically tapping the hat, then did exactly the same on the other side with a dry brush to get the effect. Delighted you noticed! *smile* Brian

That is so her - those eyes - loved Dr. Zhivago.

Wow you have caught the eyes brilliantly, she really was a beauty, very well done Brian!!

Thank you very much, Maureen and Linda for the great comments. Pleased as Punch I am. I thought it was an incredible film, Maureen, but it broke my heart at the end. Her eyes were enough to make me blush, Linda. *smile* Best to both Brian

Wonderful likeness of lara

Hang on Studio Wall

Charcoal and white pastel. Did we all fall in love with Julie in Dr Zhivago? I was mortified when Omar died at the end.
