I really like this Barry. What draws my eye is the vertical light on the water, left, and the figures. Pretty much perfect I'd say.

Great painting.Lovely impressionist style with some lovely dry brush marks.

I can see you have gained with your studies with the impressionist painters you have mentioned. Perhaps the right hand side is a little dark but I am sure it is true to the conditions.

Thank you Margorie I had to work very hard to retain the light by keeping everything wet and spraying the area with clean water.

Painted at Pin Mill, watercolour on Arches 140lb rough, on the day it was windy and so I took shelter by the Butt and Oyster. Not a subject I would normally choose but I am pleased with the outcome.
