After I had done 9 like this, small and delicate postcard size paintingsI really got into paynes grey and monochrome. It so much more pleasing than black and white tones. Quite a change for me to use such small brushes but I love a challenge. Just about to start a commission again in monochrome though this time larger and with lots of sculptural detail and textures.
