Sometimes the smallest things will spark an idea. I found some amazing lichen on rocks and developed a series of abstractions exploring the theme of colour and pattern. It is an oil painting base a variety of delicate additives to enhance the textural quality. The thing I love about abstractions and abstracts is that the more you look the more you see. People see different things in it and there doesn't have to be a right way up.
