This is so delicate and charming. Just shows that you don't always need to use bright colours to produce a super painting. Lovely work.

This is a beautiful watercolour of some of my favourite flowers in my garden too. Although I never painted them, I have a lot of photo's, so.. maybe, one day? I missed this one when you posted it. Thank you for your lovely comment on my Anthurium. Being compared to Ruskin is a real honour. I posted a "thank you comment" on it. Can you tell me what book it was? :) Mia

Hi Mia, Yes the book is Ruskin's Drawings by Ashmolean Museum, Oxford ISBN 0 907849 74 1 I bought it at Brantwood his home in the Lake District on a visit there (if you haven't been it's lovely). Not too many flowers as I said but lovely monotone drawings. Just a small paperback. Anne
