It would have been easy to overdo this with pen but you haven't. A lovely delicate scene

Exquisite! I have an old aquatint of this village on my livingroom wall but it isn't half as good as yours! Beautiful!

Thank you all for your comments. I have painted Beddgelert twice now and as I am going again to Snowdonia I hope to get enough information to paint the village/area again. :)

When I went to Beddgelert in early summer I wondered what the little bubble-like vegetation was on the hillside. I later found out that the hillsides are covered in Rhododendrons. I put in my first impressions of the bushes along with exaggerated mountains, the little church and of course Gelert's Grave. ;o) Pen and Watercolour 50cm x 35cm
