I was just putting some paintings on the Gallery site and up popped this one. It is beautiful. In fact all the paintings I now see in your personal Gallery site are so gentle and delicate and very, very pleasing to me.

Thank you so much Siv. I was trying to work with cool and warm colours and I enjoyed the process very much. I did the painting 'live' in sequences for my Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/annesartpage and posted the stages as I did them. This was a scary experience but I was pleased with the result. Thanks again for your kind comments. :)

Sorry I should have also added that if you are not on Facebook but would like to see the Page with the sequences then you can go to my website www.annebonner.co.uk and follow the link to see the Page. :)

I must agree with Siv - it puts me a little in mind of some of the works of Peter Welton (a Leicestershire based artist - and very successful ) who has quite a unique method of painting in watercolour. Having said that this is distinctly your own - and it is an absolute beauty

Thank you for your comments Michael. I've met Peter Welton and have a print of his on my wall. I didn't think I was influenced by him but maybe subconsciously?? I asked him once how he went about his paintings and he said 'I just follow all the rules'. (I'm not sure I was any the wiser :D )

Anne, I love this. So original and imaginatively executed.

Thanks Carole. I grew these (43) sunflowers from seed and sketched and photographed them as they grew and withered. I then put the sketches together to make a picture. :)

This is a real eye-catcher, Anne. Beautiful, wild composition, lovely colour combination.

Thank you Mia :)

Apologies for my late comment Anne, beautiful painting and I love the colours you have chosen.

Thank you very much Fiona :) Happy New Year! :)

Absolutely beautiful Anne. I really HATE sunflower paintings as a rule but you have given them a delicacy and design that is irrisistible and I can't stop looking at it. Great paintings. jean

Thank you Jean. They are a rather nice type of Sunflower called Elite Sun F1. I paint a lot of sunflowers see www.annebonner.co.uk for more. I know what you mean about sunflower pictures. They have been rather over-done ;)

Lovely subdued colours Anne. Beautiful work.

Thank you Denise :)

Love your wet into wet tecnique. Lovely picture :)

Hello Anne, I've only just found your work. It's breathtakingly beautiful and very much your own style. I could spend hours gazing at just one painting.

Thank you for your comment Caroline and what a lovely compliment you have paid me. Thank you :)

Beautiful painting Anne, lovely composition and colours

Thanks Petra. I have just received some greetings cards I'd ordered and I am very pleased with the way they turned out. I shall send them to friends and family. :)

Wonderful delicate colours Anne...........just had a look at your website too..........amazing life drawings there, fabulous. :)

Thanks so much for your comments Patricia. I have been doing life Drawing for about 23 years and love it. It is the very best discipline for all types of art. :)

Very nicely painted!

Thank you Walter. :)

The colours are so soft and muted - I love this.

Thank you Valerie :)
