Oystercatchers

Very nice, a lovely scene

Beautifully painted, Ann and a good imagination!

Thank you both, David and Anne, your comments are very appreciated.

A beautiful painting Ann, I think when we have something specific to paint we concentrate on the outcome more so don’t relax and enjoy the process as much. A benefit of relaxing is often a good painting and it shows in the end result , this has a relaxed feel about it.

Ann, this is a delightful painting. Lovely harmony in your palette and a beautiful soft application which gives a sense of peace. Somewhere I’d like to be.

Oh, I’m so pleased to have such nice words, thank you Paul and Fiona. I’m a bit of an unconfident painter, and am always surprised when something not too bad evolves. A bit of head scratching and “how did that happen?” occurs!

A lovely painting - love the way you have painted the sea.

Thank you very much, David.

A lovely painting Anne. The colours harmonise and give a sense of peacefulness. I often watch the oystercatchers on the beach.

Very nicely painted indeed, the breakers on the sea particularly good

Thank you very much, Marjorie and Heather.

An acrylic painting done from imagination as I tried out some new paint colours. I always seem to have more enjoyment when I haven’t actually set out to paint something specific. Done on Saunders Waterford watercolour paper 20” 16”.
