"Kristof"

Very good portrait, the blue eyes are so attractive.

Thank you Kwok, It was painted in acrylic when I was learning how to blend skin tones, but think I needed to add highlights in places. He is one of my hero's from school days! I wrote the book from listening to a Polish friend's early childhood experiences of Warsaw. Sadly we have lost contact since she returned back in 2010 as both her parents passed here in Australia and think she returned to her country where she grew up. I am dedicating the story to this friend.

Your portrait has real presence.

Many thanks Diane and Dennis. This boy was a hero, and its a fictitious character I painted for the story "The Chocolate Doll. He helped his mother and sister escape from a Polish refuge camp during the war, and they were smuggled on a fishing trawler over The Baltic sea where they fled to Denmark and were repatriated.
