"Don't count your chickens before they're hatched"

A lovely image again.

Thank you Marjorie, This lino print was one of my first print-making exercises at Art College but the initial drawing I did one day at a store where these hens were poses in a truck. It kind of resurrected the original image and brought these hens to life! Nowadays I print any images by way of monoprinting with a sheet of glass, by placing the painting underneath the glass and paint over the image, then replicate with watercolour pad, its reversed but interesting and they become impressions!

I think I'll have a go at that. 🙂

Like this a lot!

Thank you Heather, I found this print-making exercise interesting as it brought these hens back to life from the original pencil sketch!

What a clever, interesting process Angela and with such lovely results.

Good one Angela!

Great title and lovely work Angela.

A print making exercise which I produced from a lino cut and the original drawing of these hens was sketched in graphite about nine years previous to transferred into a coloured print. I gave it towards a fund raising event for The Royal hospital for Children, where they bought medical equipment. The chickens were resurrected through lino print!
