I painted this scene from imagination and reflections of these Zulu women. They always were so enegetic and cheerful and dressed in colourful costumes. I painted a series of watercolour illustrations to collect in a folio and presented to Art College when I applied to study Visual Art. This painting is part of a collection titled "A Cry from the Hills", a short story I wrote in 1984.
