Cynthia - for sale

This has been a particular challenge for me, as this is the first black person that I have painted; I would value any feedback anyone can offer, expert or just from someone who loves art? This is such fun Andrew! Painting a portrait of someone wearing specs is a challenge with the issue of reflection to deal with , but you’ve accomplished it . The skin tones with the shading and variation are also well done ....... xx

Looks fine to me. Same rule for all Andrew; paint what you see That's what painting art is about, other wise you may a well take a photograph. I'm sure the subject will be delighted with it.

A beautiful painting Andy, and such vibrant colours too. The detail in the dress and jewellery is superb and contrasts deeply with the amazing skin tones. I think you have painted Cynthia very skilfully Andrew. I particularly like the hair, clothes and jewellery but the mouth is superb. If I may make a slight suggestion, it would be to leave a little more space above the top of her head to balance the space within the painting. Of course I realise there may be more space there already but you may have cropped the painting to include it here. God bless Andrew🌈🌈🌈🌈
