Rosie - In Progress

Comments

Rosie looks very comfortable Andrew. Your painting is developing beautifully. If this was my painting I would reduce the whiteness in the face and increase the depth of colour in the bottom area. You need som darks in order to bring out the lights. Hope this helps. Take care and God bless 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

Absolutely stunning, Andy. The texture of the dog's coat is superb, and I want to bury my face in that fur. The character of the dog shines through its eyes, and it looks so life-like, as though it will get up and walk off. Would like to see the large pot toned down a bit, as it tries to detract my eyes away from the dog. But otherwise a very beautiful painting. Well done Andy.👏👏👏🤗♥️🌹xxx

I think the picture is excellent as it is ☺️

This already looks lovely! I can’t wait to see the finished article.

Thank you, dear Carole, for that lovely, affirming feedback. And thank you so much for the advice; I had increased the darks around Rosie but maybe not enough. Love and God bless xxxx

Thank you, dear Carole, for that lovely, affirming feedback and that suggestion re the pot. Much Love and God bless, my friend xxxx

Thank you, Stephen for that great feedback! Love and God bless

Thank you, Spencer and I will certainly post the finished painting, possibly even later this week. Love and God bless

So, sorry Jacqui, My second response was to you, not to Carole xxxx

Nice, Andrew. Good idea if you add mor yellow flowers.

It's great Andrew. I think either the pot with flowers needs to be less defined or the dogs face made crisper as at the moment those flowers take centre stage. Having said that I think you've painted the dogs fur brilliantly, it's a good one! You can fiddle too much of course and that's my problem!

Some excellent advice given Andrew, this is a real good start as said the dogs fur is really well done . Tweak it but don’t over do the changes , it on a fine balance a bit to much will spoil it.

Thank you, Coral, for that feedback and the suggestion; love and God bless 🙂❤🕊🙏🐾🐾

Thank you, dear Heather, for that really helpful feedback, and yes, that's my problem too, knowing when to stop! love and God bless, my friend 🙂❤🕊🙏🐾🐾

Thank you, Paul, for that constructive and thoughtful feedback; love and God bless, my friend 🙂❤🕊🙏🐾🐾

Rosie is looking good, Andrew so it will be interesting to see the finished painting!

Thank you, Anne, for that great feedback and I'll be posting soon I hope! Love and God bless 🙂❤🕊🙏🐾🐾

Thank you for all your feedback and suggestions so far; plenty to think about xx

I've been asked to paint this amazing animal; it's not quite finished as I would like to add yellow flowers on the left-hand-side plant, but I would love to make the painting something she will enjoy forever. I'd love to hear what you think of the painting now, and any way(s) you think I might improve it? Love and God bless, Andy 🙂❤🕊🙏🐾🐾

I’ve always loved water, its movement, its colour, its power. I had the privilege of working as a hydrologist for nine years before ordination, necessarily but enjoyably observing the movement of water in full flow or even in floods. That was thirty years ago but my love for moving water has not…
