I don't often put up unfinished paintings but the distant slopes, initially intended to be very loose, look good enough to be part of the painting of the valley without mist and I wanted to hear your thoughts beofe I scumbled a mist in, please? Love and God bless, Andy

Wow, stunning colours Andrew, as for the query on the mist addition , personally I prefer without but I’m sure it would work either way... The moss on the banks of the stream are effective .. great xx

Thank you, dear Linda, for those lovely comments, not least about the mist! Love and God bless, Andy xxx

Absolutely amazing, Andy. It's a perfect scene of serenity and beauty. A small piece of heaven to sit and ponder in. The vibrant colours of the water and surrounding scenery. My eyes drawn to the meandering track, wondering where it leads to. I love it without the mist. Beautiful, Andy ❤️xx

Thank you, dear Jacqueline! That's really lovely feedback! Fabulous! Much love and God bless, Andy 🙂 xx

Not an expert in any way, but I love the view as it is to be honest, the colours are fantastic. However a mist in the far distance would also fit very well.

Thank you, Hilary for those lovely comments, not least about the mist! Love and God bless, Andy x

Beautiful colours Andrew, the mist will look very good.

Thank you, dear Denise for that feedback, not least about the mist! Love and God bless, Andy x

A background lingering mist could add mystique to your lovely mountain painting Andrew. I particularly admire the babbling stream which gives life to these lovely surroundings

Thank you, dear Carole, for those lovely comments, not least about the mist, which I'm adding later today! Love and God bless, Andy xxx

Beautiful colours and textures Andrew. I think this is excellent all round!

Thank you, dear Diane, for that great feedback; much appreciated! Love and God bless, Andy xx

This is, unusually, a painting still in progress, of the lovely Carding Mill Valley in beautiful Shropshire, prior to scumbling the distant slopes to create a very different, misty image. Any feedback by you experts would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve always loved water, its movement, its colour, its power. I had the privilege of working as a hydrologist for nine years before ordination, necessarily but enjoyably observing the movement of water in full flow or even in floods. That was thirty years ago but my love for moving water has not…
