I'm hoping others will see this painting as a sign of hope in a world that seems just a bit short on that just now; if a simple fisherman can be used to initiate a movement that has circled the globe, then there is always hope for those who care about justice for all, or climate change or plastic pollution; enjoy; God bless, Andy 🙂

Absolutely beautiful😍So much intricate detail in this painting. Everyone should be able to identify with this painting. Their local house/church, where they live and probably worship every week. From the simplest to the grandest.

Thank you dear Jacqueline; that's lovely feedback, and I'm sure you're right, especially those who've visited old churches on holiday; peace & love; God bless, Andy x

A challenge to viewers to see how many churches you can identify? Enjoy checking them out ; God bless, Andy

Heartening post Andrew, and thanks. My regret with churches is how many of them have closed/been sold off for real estate, antique markets etc. One large church in Bolton centre is currently being advertised as such. As an ex altar boy I'll never forget the many happy hours I spent in church and at least we can pray from home knowing God will listen. No one can take that away.God bless you for waving our flag of faith and hope.

Thank you Jim; yes, it is sad to see these great buildings being sold off; peace & love; God bless, Andy

As always Andrew, so much thought and compassion emanates from your paintings. I appreciate how you provoke within us, the possibility of unity and hope. We are all capable of contributing a little bit of love and peace around us, even if it’s only a very local scale.

I like that you took the time to paint all the different churches : )

I admire the concept you’re portraying in this painting, connecting us with the heart of the message. The image of the face and especially the eyes is haunting , appearing to look through all the trouble and suffering in the world today . Well done Andrew . X

Thank you Diane; peace & love; God bless, Andy :) x

Thank you dear Linda for that lovely feedback; that's great!; peace & love; God bless, Andy :) xx

This is of St Peter, a rugged fisherman, as Jesus tells him that he will build ('on this rock'), his worldwide church; the churches illustrated are real churches, from Peter's own house-church at the bottom to 20th-century creations at the top, with the Vatican church, dedicated to Peter's memory, the largest of these, roughly central. Enjoy! God bless, Andy🙂 acrylic on board; 19 x 23 inches, £190

I’ve always loved water, its movement, its colour, its power. I had the privilege of working as a hydrologist for nine years before ordination, necessarily but enjoyably observing the movement of water in full flow or even in floods. That was thirty years ago but my love for moving water has not…
