Cow Parsley

This is really lovely Linda. I like the way you have painted the cow parsley. You're right, the poppies add a bit of extra interest. Lovely tranquil scene

Thank you Diana, I painted some of the cow parsley with the end of a pencil dipped in the oil paint, the poppies were an afterthought but didn't want to put too many in 😀

This is superb Linda, I find cow parsley very difficult to paint, you have done a brilliant job of it.

Lovely subtle pastel shades Linda!

Lovely subject, and all around where we live at the moment - beautifully painted.

We have a field near us that has just 1 lone tree in it. (And a load of cows lol) this painting really reminds me of it. Its lovely.

This is beautiful Linda, love the colour palette.

I was looking at cow parsley on my walk today and thinking how on earth would I paint it! So you’ve shown me how thank you. This is lovely and I do like the distance created by that lone tree.

Nice composition Linda.

Lovely work , I can hear the birds singing! Lol

Many many thanks everyone for such kind and positive comments, took me a while to get back into the oils Alan just needed something nice too paint 😁

Lovely scene Linda and I like the addition of poppies too.

This is delightful Linda, especially the cow parsley and those lovely poppies which bring the foreground alive.

I love cow parsley and related plants. We have a few and I didn't stop the weeder getting rid of some. I must stop the next onslaught of slashing! Lovely view over the fields, space, birdsong and a gentle breeze ....

Lovely summery painting Linda, really captures the moment.

Christine, Carole, Gudrun and Robert, Thank you for taking the time too take a look and comment, cheers!!

Oil on box canvas. Picture taken by my daughter on one of her walks, added the poppies just for a bit of colour.
