Excellent painting, the boat is particularly good and beautifully drawn .

Superb painting.

Very good

Extremely good Alix, full of interest and great use of colour

Very striking work Alix, I love how you’ve painted the water

Thank you so much, Dixie, Stephen, Jo, Carole, Heather and Frank. Re drawing of the boat: I spent ages drawing up the scene onto the board only to discover that I had prepared it for oils then stored it away. So after the pencil drawing I tried to sketch it up with acrylics and, of course, it didn't work! More hours drawing it all again onto another board. We suffer for our art!

Well observed and beautifully painted Alix.

Thanks, George and Christine. I keep looking at it to remind myself that sunlight does exist! None at home today and very gloomy so I'm going for another sunny subject. Local sheep, I think, for a change and it will weed out some of my notes from my walks amongst them.

This boat caught my eye not least because of the yellowish leaves looking like gold leaf that had blown onto the water. Always hard to decide what to paint on dark winter days, storm-lashed and wind-blown, so my mind turns to bright light and the feeling of warmth!
