This is a new work painted yesterday! Some of these pieces do tend to have a similar look to them!

Once again a superb piece, yes they do look similar as it’s the Thames when it was sided by avast amount of warehouses etc. So much to see with so few details, achieved skilfully by Mr Bickley and his brush ,

Again a lovely balanced piece tonally and compositionally with such economy of strokes. Well done Alan for your consistent quality

Similar but different, always excellent.

Excellent as ever. What a mass of trade has been serviced by these old buildings over the years.

Love the loose buildings with contrasting detail forefront.

I agree, always perfect !!!

Always interesting to look at Alan and great composition.

Yes, some of them do, and in others' hands that might be a criticism; but similar isn't identical, and you always bring your distinctive touch to them.

Thanks guys! It isn’t similar in composition, I was talking about the wet in wet technique which has a similarity…

Another good one Alan Nice to se a bit of history.

The lovely subdued colours just make it.

Such a wonderful collection of old wharfside buildings, just perfect to draw and paint, and many artists have done before me! Watercolour with a touch of pen in the latter stages. No preparatory drawing, I dive straight in with a large brush loaded with watercolour… A4 toned grey paper.
