Now decommissioned and part of the Chelsea Waterfront project!

I know this area very well - happy days and thanks for the memory Alan

Like the looseness, a very attractive study.

Excellent picture.

A very interesting industrial scene - beautifully painted!

I get fits of nostalgia when I see your Thames side sketches. This one has more of a cathedral look than Battersea. Bigger windows I think. Great sketch and will make a great painting.

Another superb piece Alan , looking forward to seeing the oil version, as a watercolorist I just love the colours and simplicity of this skilfully done painting. They say odd number give a better impression, so why not do three unless your going for the accuracy of the building I know are going for the impact.

I'm running out of things to say! You are producing so much work at the moment! All good!

Thanks guys always appreciate your support. I’ve made a start on the oil version, so far so good… watch this space!

The gentle washes remind me of a shell Alan. The various delicate washes shine through and makes the painting glow. I wish that I could paint so well!!!

Super industrial scene Alan.

Another wonderful depiction of times gone by. A monument to superior and technical progress. Opened in 1905. Industrial paintings, such as this, often give rise for further research. Good work, Alan.

I love industrial scenes and I’ve drawn out a few compositions in anticipation of starting an oil painting. I’ve settled on this vantage point, with the land mass leading into the main focal point. It isn’t accurate enough so I’ll sharpen up that aspect in the oil. Watercolour on A4 toned grey paper. I’ve drawn three stacks. The station originally had four - only two are there now but I felt that three looked better… but we’ll see.
