This is my favourite so far Alan. It is a beautiful piece. Looks great with the border around. B

A beautiful painting!!

I really like your use of colour

Superb work Alan , your choice of pallet is perfect for the subject , the darker shade areas are particularly good and ad so much to the scene.

One of your best Alan.

I agree with previous comments, beautiful work !!

Excellent Alan! My favourite so far of this series.

Nice work Alan, has the feel of a book illustration.

Tremendous Alan

I agree with some of the comments and say this is the best so far, a gem!

This series is working well - I like a castle: I'd like to live in one.... repelling boarders, council tax collectors, TV licence inspectors, and the like... but mostly because they're tangible history, abounding in unexpected and sometimes inexplicable passages, nooks, and crannies. This painting stimulates my imagination.

Thanks guys much appreciated. The best one so far is the first one, Gothic Gateway!

When you’ve finished the series Alan, you should make a collage or two of them, so we can appreciate them all.

Interesting subject, and lovely use of colour. I like Marjorie’s suggestion of putting them all together in a collage when finished.

Alan another great piece With great position of color

My representation of this one time fortress, which held captive Mary Queen of Scots prior to her onward transportation to await execution! We were a bloodthirsty lot back then! Mixed media, part of my current series. The castle is just a fe Ed miles away, so I’ve drawn and painted it numerous times over the years.
