Beautiful composition Alan. Love the reflections.

Cold...very cold....how many colours Alan? Not many I would think. Hat off to you for a great series!

Has a good spacial sense Alan, and yes it’s cold out there. It’s a painting that needs to be veiwed from a distance then it all comes together. And to me that’s art.

Very beautiful Alan, you have created a magical Winter atmosphere ❤️

Stands out from he crowd = outstanding.

I'm shivering just looking at this one Alan, the red sun attracts the eye, giving some hope foe later warmth,

You indulged with the feeling of cold with this one because you were warm in the studio for a change Alan magical

Very effective Alan and excellence as usual

I really like this piece Alan, particularly the colour of the sky and the reflections.

Wonderful series, looks really cold, love the reflections.

Absolutely magnificent Alan! You are a magician with light and atmosphere.

Such fantastic colours Alan, and beautiful reflections.

Captured and most likely sold, brilliant

A strong sense of cold but an element of warmth to the sky, it glows Alan.

Lovely atmospheric painting Alan, I think atmosphere is far more important than fine detail and this is just the right amount for my tastes . I like all different types , realistic contemporary but this one is the style I love

I’m shivering looking at this, Alan. Brilliant.

Very effective Alan, I recognised it as yours straight away in the gallery, it must be the great colours.

What lovely comments yet again, thank you all so much for taking the time to look at my work, I'm so pleased that you like it.

What beautiful view you have from your windows, Alan. No wonder you paint so beautiful works having all days in your mind this wonderful view. Great work, Alan.

Another winner Alan. Those colours look so good!

Wonderful sky, eerie wintery land deep at night, oh, it's so beautiful Alan.

Recognise your paintings Alan - very individual and striking

This has a magical and ethereal beauty, Alan....I love this current series of your Scenes from a window!

... and another beautiful painting Alan. These paintings are real treats.

This is an excellent representation of that atmospheric time of day in winter as the sun is setting. Lovely, Alan.

Thanks Ruth and of course everyone who has commented, it is always appreciated.

That is sooooo cold Alan.

Thanks Sylvia.

Great painting, very good style.

Hang on Studio Wall

Oil on MDF. 20 x 20in. A continuation of my current series, my emphasis is on capturing the atmosphere of the setting sun over a frosty Trent Valley. This is a studio piece, others in the series have been painted en-plein-air.
