That's a cracker Alan , I especially love those trees they break up the horizontal and vertical lines and add a great bit of variation ..beautifully done

Super on the spot sketch Alan, the foreground shadow works very well.

That instantly catches the eyes, Alan, wonderful sketch if you want to call this beauty a sketch.

I wish I could use a rigger with the same accuracy Alan. Vibrant work as always The colours with the blacks? work really well.

Wonderful Alan, your drawings are a treat.

Hi Alan this subject seems very suited to your style and it works very well indeed

Awesome with brilliance Alan superb

Alan I instantly recognized this place. On business trips we frequently stay overnight in Warwick. My collegue once said: "This is England like painted". Now you painted it, great.

Beautiful work Alan, the detail is super.

You make it look so easy Alan to create a spectacular piece like this with just a few colours and a rigger. Love it!

This is very impressive. I just love it. Both loose & tight all at once.

Superb, really fabulous work Alan!

Would that I could do a plein air sketch like this! I think you would have a field day if you came to my town of Cambridge.

Thanks everyone for your comments, Cambridge is fabulous Trevor, I must get down there again in the spring, thanks.

Lovely work, Alan, painstaking and detailed. Superb colouring.

Love it ,great composition

Fabulous, Alan. Such draughtsmanship and beautiful tones.

They've all said it, haven't they? Brilliant - it totally captures the scene.

Lovely! Catches the atmosphere, says just enough, leaves the rest to the viewers eye to interpret.

Sketched a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Warwick with my daughter, usual MO, straight in with my rigger and a bit of finishing off in the studio. Managed a dozen or so between us in the 5 hours that we stayed, some being oil sketches which I will post at a later date, although they are a bit rough around the edges so to speak.
