Tremendous work Alan. I like the white but your're the expert.

... now we can speak about a tetralogy. The white wall, and its reflection in water, makes a big impression.

Don't tone it down Alan it's a splendid touch and it sits beautifully in this excellent sketch

Super work Alan, I like the white wall.

I like the white wall too Alan, as you said it guides the eye to the composition. Gorgeous colours as well.

Old times in dramatic colours, I like it Alan. The white is needed as contrast, to show that there is sun.

Terrific painting Alan!

Outstanding work, Alan, the houses look 3D.

Very lovely painting Alan, think it is alright as it is.

10 x 8in sketch of a bygone era, which was not many miles away from where I live, all demolished now apart from a few which have been saved for Heritage museums. Straight in with my rigger and ink, followed by a few washes of watercolour. Perhaps I should tone down the white wall a touch where the plaster has fallen from the brickwork, but on this self-tinted paper I do like to have a small area of highlight to add interest and push the eye into the composition.
