Towards Weston Village, Autumn

excellent work Alan very evocative

This looks so drenched and flooded - the narrow colour range - also that cool blue in the distance. I'll have to use David's word " evocative".

Love your sketches, Alan, especially the limited palette in this one and the lively marks on the left.

Well those fields certainly look wet Alan. Lovely sketch.

Another excellent toned painting. Keep them coming!

Super palette Alan - I like this style.

Stunning composition, with fabulous atmosphere, Alan.

Nice would make a lovely delicate landscape painting too..

You make it look so effortless Alan, I suppose these quick sketches are, to an artist of your capabilities. Just love those marks in the foreground.

Glorious is the word again Alan!

Hang on Studio Wall

Paynes Grey & Sepia Ink and Aqua pencil on textured mountboard, 8 x 5in. The addition of the ink gives a much stronger tonal range to the sketch. Reference my sketchbooks from last year, the fields sodden with water after a prolonged perion of rain.
