Thanks very much for your comments, appreciated as always, Fiona, it is all oil based printing inks, they have far greater luminosity than oil paints , and all forms of printmaking is addictive for me. More to come, just finished another.

I know nothing about Etching, Alan, only that people get invited to see them sometimes!!! I like the colours you have used though. They make it a dramatic piece indeed. I must read up on this, as I am intrigued !

Thanks J, that wasn't my ulterior motive but I may try that angle!!. This is not an etching but a monotype, far more 'painterly' and expressive and you don't need a press. Dawn has asked me to do a demo on the pol online edition which I will be showing how simple it can be.
