Fabulous swirly sky. Lovely colours. Looks like some of the paint I opaque.

Stunning watercolour, Alan. I like a few brush strokes filled of colour you have used, like oil painting.

Lovely and lively with your signature colours still Alan.

I am enjoying them too Alan love the work

Wonderful mix of soft smooth washes and your signature bold and expressive colours and strokes Alan.

Gorgeous Alan, love the bright and beautiful colours :)

Another nice piece Alan well done.

Beautiful play of warm and cool complimentary colours very well done , every time I see a painting of an oast house I think of the great Rowland Hilder

Love the silhouetted oast houses & impressionistic treatment. I'm guessing its not pure watercolour-have you used some white?

Thank you all for your great comments, Gina, it is pure watercolour, hand ground from pigments and prepared in small batches, no white added.

Well done, Alan, for trying something new!

Glad to see you're getting the hang of those new paints Alan, smashing job.

Really like the softness of this one Alan, punctuated by the silhouetted oast houses - and, as usual, a lovely dramatic sky.

Splendid work as usual, Alan. Brimming with atmosphere, energy and light. Truly superlative work!

Great intensity of colour for watercolour - Interested to know the make of the range you are trying out - by the way, it's exciting and innovative and you have a great technique so your work is definitely in my tick box.

Yet more people to thank, much appreciated everyone, and Michael, I have given some details in my latest forum blog, let me know if you need any further info.

In the words of Craig Revel Horwood - A-MAY-ZING. Love this Alan.

Love the colour of the sky.

Great bold strokes and I love that menacing, angry sky, Alan.

Lovely work once again Alan, great palette. Love that little silhouette too.

Fabriano 300lb HP, 1/4 Imperial. Kent oasts and barns. Trialing some new watercolours and techniques, which at the moment I am enjoying.
