A rapid sketch??? Gosh Alan this stands up as a lovely painting in its own right! I would be really pleased to have this framed on my wall. I love t he wonderful colours you paint in your skies.

I love the way you reinvent your style just a little with each painting, Alan. It has your trademark excellent draughtsmanship, but every piece has something uniquely memorable, and this one is no exception. Superb work!

Arches 300lb NOT, 11 x 15''. Very rapid acrylic ink sketch, of docks and cranes, completely made up, just dived straight in with a large brush. Will make reference for an oil painting at a later date, hopefully. This is what I love about painting, to be expressive and without fear.
