This reminds me of one of the Dutch old masters’. Love the indistinct figures and the sweep of the bay as well as the gentle palette, emboldened with the rich splattering of siennas, Alan.

Superb work, so much suggested with a few skillful brush strokes. For me, an added nostalgia hit. I remember craft very similar to these on the Thames from my childhood.

Either beached, at anchor or in full sail, they are equally attractive for the artist to draw or paint, whatever the medium. No reference used here, just a bit of imagination.
