Once again, Martin, you come up trumps! That is one of my favourite views on Lindisfarne!!

That was quick David. Thank you so much. It is an irresistible view I agree

It’s an excellent viewpoint Martin.

I like the feeling of texture in this, which I think is down to your Inktense pencils.

A really good sketch. You’ve done the place justice. Somewhere I’ve always wanted to see. So far I’ve only seen it from the mainland.

A very good 3 parter Martin

Great picture, very atmospheric.

Such an unusual but very effective painting of Lindisfarne Martin. Love the pen work here.

Thank you all for your kind comments which I appreciate. It’s worth the effort visiting Lindisfarne for the atmosphere though I have to say I preferred it years ago when there were a fraction of the tourists there are now

Like how you have done this Martin.

I think the inktense added a depth to it. Its got a lovely haze about it, like something magical is about to happen. I really like it. It gives a wonderful feel.

Thanks very much Dixie and Jen

I sketched the iconic castle from the priory graveyard in a very blustery wind which forced me to do it loosely and quickly. I added colour with Inktense pencils back at the cottage we were staying in. Finally added some watercolour back home as I’d let the inktense colours run too much causing unwanted blurring etc. on Arches Rough wc paper 14x10” using Fude pen and carbon ink
